Malene, let Romanticism Blossom I was born in 1978 and grew up in the way (in south jutland). wfgo I am married to Jacob, and I have Camilla and Simone from my first marriage. In addition, counts the family dog Molly and the cat Felix. I have tried their hand at some exciting jobs, but today unfortunately I retired early because I am chronically ill with ME / CFS. I prioritize my energy on quality of life and on my family, and I use the garden as both rehabilitation and to be meditative and creative in. In addition, wfgo I am active in the rose circle Haderslev / Aabenraa. I have also started to study my family a little bit. View my complete profile
Here is Jacob with Simone and Camilla in "Grandma's garden" south of Vejle in August 2008. The girls were 3 and 5 years at the time. We had, as so often before, borrowed my parents' home in Høll, located close by. In Høll and Hvidbjerg, close then, are some of the best beaches wfgo in this country, if you ask me.
The garden wfgo was 3,000 m2, and mainly built up with raised beds, which together created wfgo many different rooms in the garden. Many of the beds were framed by boxwood hedges. Some places did I notice a nice detail, wfgo which I unfortunately did not take pictures of. In 2008, blogged, I do not, so the pictures were taken only for my own sake. But I did notice that in some ask where was planted flowers that needed support, they had dug a few blocks / pieces of pillars down the edges of the bed, sticking around. 15-20 cm above the ground, but was hidden behind box hedges. Over these blocks lay rionet throughout bedets size. Rionettet that you could only see when you looked very carefully into the border, served as staudestøtte so they are not overturned. The beds were so brimming full, so I guess that in the beds where rionettet was used, only made the bed thoroughly clean the spring and early summer, and maybe in the fall, the weeds had certainly not many chances to get up, as close had the most planted in beds.
There were so many beautiful flowers and impressions to look at, so we walked through the garden several times. Although this trip was only for my sake, enjoyed Jacob and the girls also get to see the beautiful spectacle. We were also in the nearby Skærup Mini Zoo on the same day, it is located in close proximity. One can easily reach both in one afternoon. If you get the urge to finish wfgo the day with a delicious gourmet meal in a romantic setting, I would highly recommend a visit to Børkop Watermill www.borkopmolle.dk. If you are on holiday in the area with his young children, is Madsby park in Fredericia and Legelandet in Vejle also close by.
It is not just in the summer that "Grandma" may draw people to. In December decorate the garden with no less than 185,000 different colors of light. Before electricity bill cost 20,000 in December alone, but today use energy efficient light bulbs, so they have reduced wfgo their December electric bill for 5,000. wfgo Jytte and Knud Sorensen, who owns the garden have set out their garden should be the country's most Christmas-lit garden. In 2007, "Grandma's garden" winner of TV2's Christmas lights competition, and it has been shown that the Christmas lights can attract at least as many visitors as the many beautiful flower beds can be in the summer.
In the shadows, there was a gazebo, made simply of some round posts. It looked very cozy and inviting, I think, especially wfgo if you have the imagination to imagine a pair of big roses lavishly pouring out all over the place, so you can sit and enjoy their fragrance at close range.
"Grandma's garden" As described, been a very popular destination for people to have, but I'm not sure if there are still open garden this summer. I certainly wfgo have not been able to get in touch with their website www.mormorshave.dk today. But "Grandma's garden" is on Klattrup Bygade 33 at Smidstrup, 7000 Fredericia. Jytte and Knud Sorensen's telephone number is 75 86 04 25th Maybe it's a good idea to ask them if they still keep open garden before planning a visit.
I have only visited the garden this one day. A little bad, now it is so close to my parents' home. So I have not seen it with Christmas lights, but it sounds great. One thing at least is certain that no matter how little gardens interests your family members so they can not help but think the garden here is a really nice place to be a glorious summer day. Delete
Hi Lisbeth. Yes, it was one of the most beautiful private gardens I have seen, apart from the gardens I have seen in pictures. It is with rionettet I also thought was incredibly smart, so I will keep in mind if I get leftovers when I have made trellis and pergola finished this spring (hopefully). Kh. Malene Delete
