Do you 'Duel' now read, dear reader? You know: the bonus book that you received from your previous letter supplier during Book Week. It was printed in an edition of 958,000. (Missed? If you live stuck in a cave wifi free, whether or not in the Belgian Ardennes.) Missed or did not see the picture on the right. The cover of 'Duel', yes. Notice something on? That golden list maybe? Also empty, канаева also symbolically ... Like 'arty-farty' offers 'Duel' a critical look at the contemporary art world. And to complete the equation: both novels end with a double epilogue. You can guess who I invited to my launch party. And who did not. (Which by the way was very understandable: Joost Zwagerman just had a Boekenmáánd behind and was totally demolished.) What you can not guess, is that he offered to read my debut. And comment on them ... A mail exchange followed. For you, dear reader, with the approval of the large Z, a selection! April 7, 19:26 Ha Emily, received book. Thank you! Read first chapter - reads like a train, very amusing, I see a parallel with my 'Gimmick! "1989. Greeting! J April 7, 22:11 :) Glad my book was alive when you get it picked ... He thundered with a hard slap in your house! A report of a entry ... Like my first chapter. That blows too hard, I think now - afterwards. I have nothing now, but I learn. канаева * Puke * Emily April 7, 23:45 I am now about halfway ... What's wrong with the first chapter? May best pop hard. I continue reading tomorrow - it's a 'nice' book, though, fast and swinging. Greeting! J April 8, 14:06 A good book says the big Zwagerman, fast and swinging!! Wow, that's really cool ... Wondering if it remains tasty, fast and swinging! :) THANKS! Emily April 12, 22:07 Ha Emily, 'arty-farty' now, my compliments. I also think the first half of the book okay, though. A bit more trouble I had with one or two chapters канаева of the second half, especially when the conversation between mother, father, son and Annie takes place. In this chapter, the father, metaphorically, to four animals, канаева in quick succession. канаева That's what a lot of good. Furthermore, the father is not someone with a good feature. Mother and son I think it's канаева 'signed', say. Afterwards I did not arrive канаева instantly, although the deportation to China and poison powdered milk or maneuvering our course in that direction. I had the idea that you lost your natural distance towards the end as the narrator / writer bit. There was nothing left of the father, an ogre and a bastard was and is - he can not get along a ray sympathetic properties? That was what made 'rounder'. But these are comments in the margins, канаева I 'arty-farty' read with pleasure. Greeting! J good, right? And he's absolutely right. Also still! I became fast friends with Joost Zwagerman on Facebook ... So ... I got to see this today: Dirk Leyman! Lol. It could be said Bredero, and he should know.
I also enjoyed Arty-farty! In the first pages, I thought it was not for me, then I wanted more and further reading. And now I regret that I can not continue to follow. The two main characters Well done! April 21, 2010 15:52
